    Do you have any security guard / patrol positions currently available?

    A good indication of whether we are actively hiring is to monitor the online employment website: All current job vacancies are advertised online and applications can be forwarded to the email address specified in the advert. You can also fax applications as well as posting them to our headquarters in Sydney. You may also submit your resume / CV and cover letter to our recruitment team at [email protected].

    Please ensure that among your documentation you can provide your current security licence number (if applying for an operational role), or if you are not a resident of Australia or New Zealand you are able provide evidence that you can legally work in Australia.

    How does the recruitment process for security guards at Unified Security work?

    Our recruitment team will review applications received electronically, faxed or posted into our head office in Sydney. Once these applications are reviewed, pertinent applicants are then invited to take part in a first round of interviews. A review process then takes place with Operation Managers assessing the suitability of each of the first round candidates. A final interview round is organised with candidates from the first round who best meet the criteria for the available position(s). Prior to the commencement of the final interview round, reference checks are performed, Security Licenses are verified, and when management is satisfied with the candidate(s) supplied documentation, the final interviews take place where position(s) may be awarded.

    How often do you recruit Security Guards?

    Unified has grown significantly over the last decade and is well positioned in the market to expect growth in guard services well into the next decade. Unified has periods where a recruitment drive is necessary to facilitate a new contract acquisition. These are unpredictable and difficult to forecast due to the nature of varying tendering processes. However they can occur at fairly regular intervals so it is best to keep an eye on where we advertise job vacancies.

    Can you provide security services for special events e.g. birthday parties and other functions?

    Yes we can. Just be prepared as our staff will ask a few questions regarding the booking.

    Examples of some of the question you may be asked;

    • How many people are you expecting?
    • What will the average age of the attendees be?
    • Will there be adult/parental supervision? (appropriate for where minors will be attending)
    • Will there be alcohol available?
    • Location Type? (Private residence or a hall, function centre, rural property etc…)
    • Will there be a guest list available to our Security Staff?
    • Date, location, start-time and finish-time?

    Who are some of your clients?

    Unified closely maintains a high level of discretion in regards to revealing who our clients are. However should you have a commercial requirement to view certain information on comparable clients that we hold in our current portfolio, we can discuss this possibility on an as-needed basis.

    What are your company security Licence Numbers?

    Please contact us on 1300 658 657 or via email to request a copy of our state compliant company licence. Unified Security is a National provider and is licensed in all states across Australia.

    What areas do you provide services in?

    Unified is a national company and as such we provide security services nationwide for both manpower and electronic service requirements.

    Do you sell, install or provide support for CCTV and/or alarm systems for residential properties?

    Yes we can. Just contact our headquarters in Sydney and our electronics department can help put together a solution for you that best suits both your security requirements as well as your budget.

    Some brands of Alarms Systems may require specific codes or documentation in order to meet your requirements, however we will request all the pertinent information from you (or if you are unable to provide it, we may be able to source it from a supplier/manufacturer) before a booking commences.

    I have an alarm system in my home – are you able to provide a back to base monitoring service?

    Yes we do. If you would like to discuss the options that we have available just give our headquarters in Sydney a call and again our electronics department along with our control room can put together a solution that best suits both your security requirements as well as your budget.

    I own/work for a security company – will you consider subcontracting some services that you provide to your clients, to me?

    Unfortunately due to client requirements and confidentiality, Unified Security is not able to subcontract services.  What this does mean for our clients however is the peace of mind that you will be dealing directly with one company only, and that all staff will be trained to the highest level of professionalism.
